Brief 'Avengers' Review: Blockbuster Entertainment

At this point 'The Avengers' has already broken box-office records for an opening weekend and millions have seen it and with good reason, the movie is worth every penny paid in admission. Too often so-called 'blockbuster' movies fail to deliver in certain aspects;plot, acting, action, chemistry, entertainment, etc. The movies not only delivers it excels in every category. 


Without spoiling anything for the few who haven't seen it let's just say a global threat arises from the movie "Thor"'s antagonist, Loki and the powerful energy source called the Tesseract. The director of  S.H..I.E.L.D.,  Nick Fury realizes it's time to assemble earth's mightiest heroes to save the world. The beauty of director Joss Whedon is that he tries and succeeds to give each larger-than-life hero equal time and establish some character development to engage the audience and give the fans what they came to see. Each hero has their moment to shine whether it's fighting the villains or each other. 


The pace is quick, the action is tremendous, and the attention to detail is flawless. Whedon and the cast define what a blockbuster is all about. It's simply crowd-pleasing entertainment.
