Now before you jump to conclusions, the animated version of the satirical MAD magazine is NOT strictly for the kiddies. While it does follow the format of the magazine with parodies of your favorite cartoon characters it also skewers pop culture. It has something for people of all ages. Most importantly it's funny and when it's not the skits come fast and furious so if you don't like one skit another will be along in minutes.

This is how Cartoon Network describes the show:

The outrageous humor and pop culture parodies of MAD magazine come to life in this satirical animated sketch show. See cartoons inspired by classic material like Sergio Aragones, Don Martin and Spy Vs. Spy. Watch full episodes free online videos from MAD at CartoonNetwork.com.

If you enjoy Saturday Night Live or even the live-action sketch show MAD then you'll enjoy this even more. In 30 minutes you get blitzkrieg-ed by sketches of varying lengths that are actually funny and more consistently amusing than either SNL or MAD live-action counterparts.  They'll parody figures the kids know (Superheroes, Thundercats, My Little Pony, Phineas and Ferb), older kids (Twilight, WWE, My Super Sweet 16), and their parents (Jay Leno, Donald Trump, Planet of the Apes, Millionaire Matchmaker).

Don't feel guilty to sit down with your kids to watch it. Even if you don't have kids, no one has to know you're watching Cartoon Network. It's worth your time for a quick chuckle to check it out on TV or online. It's still better than most network prime time sit-coms.
