New 'Dark Knight Rises' Notes and Possible Clue

The following notes comes from a wonderful interview with the 'The Dark Knight Rises' cast from French CineWebradio. (translated)

Christopher Nolan - Director

"I still have several months of work," explains the director, in a suit lanky, blond hair combed back. "We still have scenes to shoot in London. This is the longest story I've ever told, and it's exciting. It is rich and dense, and that's what I love. So for now, I just try to enjoy it . "

 While Nolan said it was difficult to reduce history to a word or concept, " the starting point of the film deals with the consequences of our actions , "he says. "Many things happen in THE DARK KNIGHT and provide a satisfactory conclusion, and we try to show the effects of these events realistically and seriously. It is question of consequences, of redemption. The film is about all that and much more ".

Christian Bale - Batman/Bruce Wayne

 " Chris has always done perfectly coincide with his ideas of history and the direction he wants him to take , "says Bale. " He then goes to the bottom of the characters, scratching the surface, digging their emotions and motivations, which creates the underlying themes throughout the saga . "

 " Throughout the saga, Alfred warns he may face problems , "says Bale. " So it's just the crucial moment to see how long it will still leave this event to dominate his life. But can he give it up? Or is he hooked? " 

Anne Hathaway - Selina Kyle/Catwoman

the character of Selina Kyle as " inherently reserved and very mysterious , "and the actress says in another interview, "She lives by his own code of honor, which sometimes leads to the act objectionable to people. I'm sure if you talk to him, she could explain. But it preserves his privacy. It does not reveal much. That's about all I can tell you of it without giving too much away . "

 " It's Catwoman , "she said impressed, "one of the most famous female characters from the comic, if not the most famous. But this is more amazing in this film Catwoman! I just love the cinema Chris Nolan and his two first albums, I was excited to be able to join. I'm really lucky that the role will be presented at a time when I was old enough to keep it " . 

On the film in general, Anne Hathaway is just as positive. "J e think viewers will be surprised but absolutely delighted. I declare that, 'In Nolan we believe'  .  

Tom Hardy - Bane

" The fact is that Chris is able to create a comfortable and cozy to shoot ... but it's a challenge to work with him because he can suddenly decide that we must reverse a truck for true! You never know what to expect. And in such films, pressures abound. It's like making a stress test on a brand new fighter. You stress out about the idea of do crash. But ultimately, if I had chosen not to stress myself, I would not have done my job properly "

 " Bane is a sacred number , "said Hardy. " It is not there to laugh. He is there to do what he has to do and it is certainly not frivolous or there to enjoy themselves. From the outset it is very brutal, very aggressive , and he loves to use weapons . " 

Joseph Gordon-Levitt - John Blake

" I think for the people of Western culture, Batman is a sacred figure and iconic " says the actor. "So, needless to say I was excited to be part of the adventure and j 'was extremely curious to see what he would invent. And I can not say in detail why, but I have not been disappointed. And it feels like a final chapter ".

 The young actor plays J ohn Blake , a Gotham police officer who proved to the Commissioner Gordon and becomes one of its most reliable allies. It also has something in common with Bruce Wayne, because, like him, he is an orphan.

This is where it gets a little more interesting. So this 'John Blake' character is a cop who is also an orphan like Bruce Wayne who is also Batman and who legendarily (in the comics)  had a sidekick by the name of Dick Grayson who was also an orphan. Coincidence? You decide.
