REVIEW:
As stated in Marvel's synopsis, the dog - Pizza Dog - gets an issue all to himself. In inferior hands the premise would seem ham-handed, gimmicky and a little lazy but under Matt Fraction's skilled script the result is nuanced and engaging. Taking the dog's perspective is a big creative risk if it doesn't work but with David Aja's imaginative pencils with facial expressions and symbols it works flawlessly. Hawkeye really is a unique book in the Marvel NOW universe. A hero that rarely is in costume and storylines that are character driven are  unusual to say the least but Fraction and Aja pull it off seamlessly.
