Batman vs Superman Rumor: Older Actor Sought for Veteran Batman Role

Just Cast Jon Hamm Already

According to Jett over at Batman on Film, multiple sources have the studio looking to cast an actor in his mid-forties for the role of Batman in the Man of Steel sequel tentatively titled 'Batman vs Superman'. This appears that we'll see a more experienced and battle-worn  Batman  more in line with Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns than the one in the just completed Christopher Nolan trilogy. While not as old as Miller's Batman, we are getting a sense, especially since director Zack Snyder reportedly is meeting with Miller, that there will be similar conflict between the two comic book legends. 

In light of this latest rumor the inevitable question is who will play the older Batman? When you think of a really great actor with Bruce Wayne swagger, style, and family issues who else but Don Draper comes to mind? Jon Hamm's name will be batted around for sure. 

There are other suitable choices of course. Other fine actors with the talent, brooding charisma and screen presence to fill the cowl. Here are some:
