The Flash in Full Costume

First came the headshot of Grant Gustin as the Flash in CW's upcoming pilot now the full suit is revealed. DC Entertainment released the image of the "Fastest Man Alive" in a runner's pose with a flash of lighting in the background. The suit is a darker hue of red than we've seen in the past and made of what looks like a stretchable mesh fabric with patches of leather or rubber accents and the iconic lighting bolt emblem on his chest. 

Executive producer and director David Nutter had this to say about the look,"I hope the fans who treasure the character and are as excited as we are by what [Oscar-winning] costume designer Colleen Atwood has achieved with this latest version of The Flash's iconic suit."

Nutter along with Arrow showrunners Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg are bringing The Flash pilot to the CW later this year but already have the fans in a frenzy with this type of attention to detail and great casting. The cast includes Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanaugh, Candice Patton, Rick Cosnett, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, and an appearance of the Flash from the 1990's series, John Wesley Shipp, in an undisclosed role. 

If the pilot is picked up (as I fully expect it to be) it will share the same universe as the Green Arrow show. This could lead to some potentially amazing crossover story arcs.
