Godzilla Invades SXSW with Special 60th Anniversary Screening

Fully Restored and Uncut with Q&A with Director of the Upcoming New Godzilla Movie Following the Viewing


Not only do attendees of the 2014 SXSW festival in Austin, Texas get to see a restored print of the Japanese monster classic, Godzilla, with additional 40 minutes of footage not seen in the US, but they get to participate in a Q&A with Gareth Edwards, director of the new upcoming Godzilla feature in May from Warner Bros. and Legendary pictures, and take home the exclusive print pictured above from Austin-based design studio, Mondo. How cool is that? 


The updated Godzilla starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, and Bryan Cranston, will crush theaters on May 16.

The lucky folks in Austin however will get to see the original tonight. Here's a trailer for the screening:
