There are some new set photos from Fox's Batman prequel, Gotham, featuring Ben McKenzie (still mustache-free) as young Detective James Gordon and his partner played by Donal Logue (appropriately scruffy-faced) as Detective Harvey Bullock. Here they are working their beat along some brownstones. The drama follows the early days before Gordon becomes the Commissioner, he befriends a young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and battles some familiar Gotham City villains.
One of those villains played by Robin Lord Taylor, Oswald Cobblepot (the future Batman nemesis Penguin), is seen in signature round-rim glasses and rather dapper suit and trenchcoat. He is also holding a newspaper with information that could be deemed spoilerish. It's hard to tell the tone and vibe of the show but it looks fine so far and not much for fans to complain about. The cast looks good.
Filming just began so there'll be chances to catch glimpses of other cast members like Jada Pinkett Smith as gangster Fish Mooney and Sean Pertwee as Wayne's faithful butler Alfred. The show also stars Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Essen, and Erin Richards as Barbara Kean. Executive produced and written by Bruno Heller (The Mentalist), the show has a series commitment from Fox.
