Bradley Cooper Leads Studio's Wish List to Star
According to unnamed sources over at Latino Review, it seems if Harrison Ford and Paramount can't nail down a date to begin the fifth installment of the classic adventure films, the studio is reportedly prepared to move on with a different take on the character, recasting with a younger actor to take on the persona of Indiana Jones and begin a fresh trilogy.
The situation seems precarious since the last effort, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, left fans unimpressed (thanks Shia). Supposedly, creators George Lucas and Steven Spielberg always envisioned Indy as their James Bond and recasting the character as that series has done is certainly a viable option. Frank Darabont (The Walking Dead, The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption, Young Indiana Jones Chronicles) has pitched an idea but no confirmation how that was received. Darabont's resume speaks for itself so he's more than qualified to pen the next Indy adventure.
At the top of the studio's acting wish list is Bradley Cooper. Not a bad choice but others could emerge as this is early in the process and more speculation than anything else. If not Cooper then who and could the 71-year old Ford still appear if only to pass the baton to another actor?
