During tonight's Arrow season finale audiences got the first glimpse of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) officially as the namesake of the upcoming CW Fall show, The Flash. The one-minute teaser trailer incorporates a rock track by Thirty Seconds to Mars as the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) shoots an arrow when a certain scarlet speedster zooms by catching it.
This is the first official look of the Flash in action and it promises to build off the success of the other DC Comics based show it spun out of, Arrow. Gustin made his debut as Allen during a two-episode arc earlier in the season. He was last seen in a coma from a freaky lighting storm caused by a particle accelerator.
The show also stars John Wesley Shipp (90's series Flash), Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton and Rick Cosnett.
Official Synopsis:
After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only "meta-human" who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion -- and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won't be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become...The Flash.
