DR.STRANGE: Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch Join Marvel's Wish-List Plus Other Suggestions

Who will be Dr Strange for Marvel?

Now that horror director Scott Derrickson (Sinister, Deliver Us from Evil) has signed on to direct Marvel's Dr. Strange movie the casting rumors are heating up. This isn't anything new as rumors go bad as far as January when Marvel's wish-list included Johnny Depp. It seems that wish-list has grown.

Jared Leto was the latest rumored actor the studio liked until Deadline offered up the latest names on the list - Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch. All great actors but as great actors they are extremely busy which makes their availability questionable. Chances are none of these actors will be the one to get the gig but certainly will be approached.

Since names are being thrown around we thought we'd create a list of own based on pure speculation.

Eric Bana
Geek Cred: Star Trek, Hulk
Marvel owes him a re-do after Hulk and he's already worked with director Derrickson.

Daniel Radcliffe
Geek Cred: Harry Potter
Radcliffe has opted for smaller films and the stage since growing up in one of the biggest franchises in film. May he be ready to launch another?

David Tennant
Geek Cred: Doctor Who, Harry Potter: The Goblet of Fire
Perhaps too well known for his Doctor Who role but Tennant would certainly make an excellent sorcerer.

Jim Sturgess
Geek Cred: Cloud Atlas
Rising star Sturgess already has six projects lined up between now and the end of 2015 so availability might be a problem for this hot prospect.

Kit Harrington
Geek Cred: Game of Thrones
Known for the character who's always referred to by his full name, Harrington hit theaters in Pompeii but despite that disaster remains a good bet to breakout.
