Jason Momoa Will Be Appearing as Aquaman in 'Batman V Superman'

Some late breaking news tonight as Jason Momoa is reportedly playing Aquaman in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. After months of rumors of his involvement in the movie and months of denial from him it seems he'll be the first live-action motion picture version of the much maligned King of Atlantis.

No official word from Warner Bros. yet but after the rumored plans for more DC Comics movies that included Justice League, Wonder Woman and Shazam were reported casting must be getting finalized. HitFix was the first to definitively declare not only is Momoa in the movie but the role he's playing.
HitFix can confirm that he will be playing the part, and that Zack Snyder has already finalized his designs for the character so shooting can take place soon.
Don't bother asking Momoa though. He has repeatedly and sternly denied any participation in this movie or Justice League in the future. Which could only mean he's definitely in them. How much will he appear in BvS? That is unknown but it's safe to presume it will be small leading to a larger appearance in the Justice League movie.

The theory is it wasn't just pacifist fanboys who were peeved about the earth-shattering brawl between Superman and Zod in Man of Steel. Apparently, Aquaman didn't appreciate all the ruckus that occurred in the Indian Ocean, destroying the ecosystem and all, and he's looking for answers. And if the studio was looking to improve the image of one of DC's most unappreciated and dissed superheroes, casting the imposing physique of Momoa was a good start.
