'Marvel's Daredevil' Adds Rosario Dawson to Netflix Series in Undisclosed Role

The beautiful and talented Rosario Dawson (Sin City) is the latest addition to Marvel's Daredevil on Netflix coming next year as a guest star. She'll take on the undisclosed role along with Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil) and Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk). The 13-episode miniseries is the first entry in a collection of series that will culminate in a Defenders feature on the streaming behemoth.

The versatile Dawson is already a fan favorite with appearances in Men in Black II, Sin City, Clerks II, and Death Proof. She'll next be seen in the Sin City sequel A Dame to Kill For arriving in theaters on August 22. An actress of her caliber isn't lost on the Marvel brass.
“Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for 'Marvel’s Daredevil,'” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television. “Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock’s journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil.”

The first character that comes to mind is Elektra who Dawson could be playing.  She's described as "a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell’s Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city."

Whatever the role it'll be exciting to see the Latina on the small screen for a change adding some much needed star power and diversity to the Netflix series.
