Meet the Three Villains and One Fan Favorite to Be Appearing in 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice'

Up until now we've only known for certain that Lex Luthor would be the villain in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.  The title implies the Dark Knight will also be an adversary of the Man of Steel but we know that won't last long. News broke that there'll also be some secondary villains making an appearance in Zack Snyder's much anticipated superhero epic.

Latino Review reported that while there won't be a Joker or Metallo sighting there will be some lesser known villains included in the film. The following will have their comic book bio along with LR's exclusive details.

VICTOR ZSAZS

Victor Zsasz is the most unrepentant of sociopaths, a serial killer who marks the death of his victims on his skin with tally marks. He is very intelligent and deceptively cunning, often trying to manipulate or intimidate his victims before killing them and arranging them in lifelike poses for the police and Batman to find.
LR speculates that this may be the role Callan Mulvey was hired for. Batman fights him early in the film so it could just be a set piece, an introductory one, to show him in action.

MORGAN EDGE

Morgan Edge is a media mogul and personality who owns the Galaxy Communications company, a competitor to the Daily Planet. His organization's connections to Intergang have made him a direct servant of the evil Darkseid on Earth. This position has made him an antagonist to Superman and an ally to his alter ego Clark Kent.
LR claims this version of Edge is a slimey P.R. exec for Luthor who butts heads with Lois Lane on a talk show early in the film. They believe this role could be the one Scoot McNairy was chosen to play. Edge also shares a history with Luthor as young gang members. Yes, I said gang members.

DAVID CAIN

David Cain is one of the world's premier assassins, paid to eliminate some of the most famous and powerful people on the planet, no matter how seemingly impossible the task. He was one of the people who trained the young Bruce Wayne with the skills that he would use as Batman, although Bruce has, naturally, never used the murder techniques Cain demonstrated.
LR merely states that the assassin in his 50's meets with Luthor's bodyguard Mercy Graves to set up an assassination. There's more Cain-related material in the comics if they decide to use it later like in the Batman solo movie. It's unlikely to go much further but Cain was a member of the League of Assassins, had a daughter, Cassandra, with another Batman nemesis, Lady Shiva, who grew up to rebel and become Batgirl for a time.

AND...

AMANDA WALLER

Despite not possessing any superpowers, she has persistently proven herself a powerful antagonist and sometime-ally of the superheroes of the DC universe, often serving as an antiheroNicknamed "the Wall", she is a former congressional aide and government agent often placed in charge of the Suicide Squad, a semi-secret government-run group of former supervillains working in return for amnesty. She later served as Secretary of Metahuman Affairs under President Lex Luthor, before being arrested in the wake of Luthor's public fall from grace.
LR says she'll be a stern senator who doesn't trust Superman one bit and will see to it that the nation is protected. They also say the role hasn't been cast yet but she'll still have that intimidating demeanor and no-nonsense approach she has in the comics. The real question is will she be portrayed as a svelte model-type as in the current New 52 comic book version or the traditionally (and fan preferred) heavy set force of nature we've known and loved since she was introduced?

Some interesting rumors to drop overnight. These are some minor but important roles and despite the grumbling of some fans online the film is beginning to take form nicely. And NO there isn't too many characters in one film!

We're counting on official announcements to come out of San Diego Comic Con to shed a ton of light on what exactly is going on with casting and plotting of the film. What do you think so far?
