A lot is being made about the rumor that the Flash will appear in 2016's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice but the real scoop is that most of the Justice League will come together by the end of the film.
A set photo with Scoot McNairy sporting some interesting looking green CGI socks hit the internet and that sparked speculation that he could be playing a superhero. After all why would you need special effects on your feet if they weren't churning extremely fast like, say for instance, The Flash. That's a reasonable assumption however that's not all there is to report.
According to Devin Faraci at Badass Digest his sources claim that not only is Flash appearing in the film but by the end they will assemble most of the Justice League including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman
and Cyborg. We've known for some time that besides the two titular characters we'd see WW in costume as announced at SDCC and we'd see the rest in some capacity but not as fully formed superheroes.
Conspicuously missing is the Green Lantern. His appearance, whether as Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds?) or John Stewart, will presumably have to wait for the Justice League movie. Faraci isn't completely sure of this latest rumor but he has faith in his sources.
This rumor seems to make sense and it would be great to see JL begin to take form in BvS, setting the stage for an epic movie of their own.
