'Star Wars: Episode VII' has an Official Title, THE FORCE AWAKENS



Lucasfilm took to Twitter to make the official announcement of the title for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII and it is THE FORCE AWAKENS. As you can imagine the title has garnered some mixed reactions online resulting in a hashtag #rejectedstarwarstitles but the J.J. Abrams production has finished principal photography and plot details are still a mystery. 


 Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens Dec. 18, 2015 and stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and Warwick Davis, and newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie.
