'GAMBIT' HAS A RELEASE DATE OF OCTOBER 7, 2016 |
Twentieth Century Fox is riding pretty high right now with news that they eclipsed the global box office record with $5.5 billion in box office sales in 2014. Films like 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' ($748 million) and 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' ($709 million) helped anchor a record-breaking year. Now they're looking to the future with release dates of 'Gambit', 'Fantastic Four 2', the next 'Planet of the Apes' feature, 'Assassin's Creed' among others.
Channing Tatum will be starring in the X-Men spin-off as fan-favorite Gambit. The Marvel hero can charge matter causing it to explode upon impact. Created in 1990 by Jim Lee and Chris Claremont the character has appeared before on screen in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' and played by Taylor Kitsch. The scheduled release date is October 7, 2016.
