VIDEO: Arrow Meets Star Wars in Fan-Made Mashup

The only thing that could have made Arrow's midseason finale entitled 'The Climb' even more exciting would have been lightsabers. Well, that's exactly what web designer and digital animator Dave Jones did and it's marvelously done. It's already gotten the thumbs up from Oliver Queen himself, Stephen Amell.

In these well edited fight scenes, the swords have been replaced with lightsabers, Arrow now resides in the Star Wars universe and special guests make appearances. Enjoy!

This is the final installment of my Arrow Jedi trilogy. For this one, I added lightsabers to two battle sequences from the Arrow Season 3 mid-season finale. The first features Ra's al Ghul against eight lightsaber-wielding members of the League of Assassins. The second is the epic battle between Oliver Queen and Ra's al Ghul on the mountaintop. As always, there are plenty of Star Wars easter eggs.

The WhaBam (LucasFilm) logo was made in Illustrator and After Effects with Video Copilot’s Element 3D and Optical Flares. The title crawl was made in Adobe Illustrator and After Effects. The lightsabers were made from Video Copilot’s free plug-in. The Imperial Battle Cruiser, Hoth, Tie Fighter, R2-D2, and the end title card were rendered in Element 3D.
