Arrow/Flash Heroes and Villains Assembling for New Spin-Off at the CW

The Superhero Team -Up Show Includes Brandon Routh, Wentworth Miller, Caity Lotz and Victor Garber So Far
The unnamed show will feature Ray Palmer, Leonard Snart, a formerly deceased Sara Lance and Dr. Martin Stein

It appears that Arrow producer Greg Berlanti wasn't kidding at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour when he mentioned a possible spin-off was in early talks.

Deadline reports that the network is working with Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Marc Guggenheim and Sarah Schechter to develop the superteam show starring Brandon Routh (The Atom), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), Caity Lotz (Canary?) and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein).

The report also went on to say that the show will also "include three major DC Comics characters who have never appeared in a TV series." That's some exciting news for fans as both The Atom on Arrow and Firestorm on The Flash have developed their origin stories presumably to groom them for a spin-off. Noticeably absent however is Robbie Amell's name as his Ronnie Raymond along with Dr. Stein make up the Nuclear Man. We can assume his deal is in the works.

Miller played the cool but villainous Captain Cold on The Flash and his inclusion would mean he's a villain on the show unless they make him into his comic book counterpart who's currently a good guy with the Justice League.

More curious (possible Arrow spoilers ahead) is the addition of Caity Lotz. The fan-favorite actress played Sara Lance aka the Canary who met her fate at the start of this season. She could have been resurrected via the Lazarus Pit or she could be playing a different role altogether. Our money is on her magically being someone else because bringing back Sara could have major unnecessary repercussions for the Arrowverse. Hasn't Papa Lance been through enough?

The show is in early development but a series order is expected for a possible midseason debut next year.
