'Gotham' Adds Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox



As one character supposedly exits this year, another one emerges. In the on-going goal to feature every Batman character in the DC Comics universe, Fox is adding Chris Chalk to play Wayne Enterprises' tech guru Lucius Fox on Gotham.  


Chalk is coming off a run on HBO's The Newsroom, with various credits including Showtime's Homeland and 12 Years a Slave. He'll appear as Fox in Episode 21 near the end of this season with a possible return next season. 


For many, the role of Lucius Fox is synonymous with the theatrical Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy that featured Morgan Freeman as Bruce Wayne's loyal engineer of Bat-tech. As in the comics and the film, Fox eventually becomes the President of the company. 

On Gotham, Fox is expected to be a trusted source at Wayne Enterprises for Bruce amid the shady dealings from others on the board.
