'Wonder Woman of the Day' - Margie Cox

Costume players are a multi-talented bunch of passionate fans who use their craftiness to express their love for a favorite character or genre or era in the costumes they design. It's a labor of love that has its own reward whether it's a magazine photo shoot, a paid appearance, a nice compliment or being the source of someone's inspiration. For Margie Cox, a costume designer and model, all of the above are true but she's also found the time to give back in the form of charity work. 

As part of the Heroes Alliance, a non-profit organization of cosplayers who help raise money for various charities, Cox has used her superior costuming skills and superheroine good looks to bring Wonder Woman to life and her warrior spirit to good causes. 

Whether it's bringing smiles to young faces at the Buddy Walk for the National Down Syndrome Society or at the Fernbank Museum Superhero Day or donating her hair to Locks of Love, Cox has embodied what it means to be a true hero. Her excellent costume designs, authentic appearance, and generous heart has made Margie Cox our 'Wonder Woman of the Day.'
