From J. Jonah Jameson to James Gordon, J.K. Simmons is Joining 'Justice League'

As further proof that 'Justice League' is indeed going forward as planned despite online speculation, Oscar winner and former J. Jonah Jameson from Sam Raimi's 'Spider-Man' franchise J.K. Simmons will be Batman's famous ally Commissioner James Gordon in the Zack Snyder-directed epic.

'Justice League: Part One' begins shooting in April and Simmons joins Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), and Ezra Miller (Flash) in the first live-action version of DC Comics famous superhero team. 'Part One' is scheduled for a November 17, 2017, release while 'Part Two' is slated for June 14, 2018. 

The best supporting actor winner from last year for Whiplash, Simmons has been in high demand. You can hear his voice in this past weekend's box office winner, the animated Disney hit Zootopia, and in April, he appears with Susan Sarandon in The Meddler. Then he's got three more films lined up after that not including 'Justice League.'
