NEW COMIC BOOK DAY: Notable New Releases 4/6/16

This week's most anticipated new comic is without a doubt Marvel's 'Black Panther' #1 by Ta-Nehisi Coates, Brian Stelfreeze, and Laura Martin. With the character's forthcoming appearance in 'Captain America: Civil War' this May, a solo movie in 2018, and reissuing of Christopher Priest's run on the comic, the timing couldn't be better for this beloved fan favorite. Having an extremely talented creative team behind the new series doesn't hurt either. Hope you preordered because this one is going to sell out.

Not too far behind in hot new books, is Marvel's Poe Dameron #1 and Grant Morrison's Wonder Woman: Earth One. Cameron Stewart, Brendan Fletcher, and Babs Tarr conclude their game-changing work on Batgirl with issue 50. To no one's surprise, workaholic Mark Millar has another new book out, Empress #1. Dynamite has Miss Fury #1, Army of Darkness: Furious Road #2, Vampirella #2 among others out today.  Aftershock Comics has a trifecta of their own with Dreaming Eagles #4, Replica #5, and Rough Riders #1. Don't miss Interceptor #4 from Donny Cates and Dylan Burnett and the rest of this week's recommendations. Happy reading.
