The Latino Comics Expo Announces More Talented Latino Creators Appearing This Year


The 5th Anniversary Latino Comics Expo taking place in Long Beach, California this August continues to expand their guest list with more talented Latinos. Sueimi Guerra, Rafael Navarro, Liz Mayorga, and Ofloda Monstro have been added to the roster of writers, artists, and creators attending this unique event. Suemi Guerra writes and publishes the fiction zine SUICIDAL GOLDFISH.Her creative pursuits include music, creating hand-crafted objects d'art and adventuring throughout Los Angeles.


Rafael Navarro, Emmy Award-winning storyboard artist, is the creator of the long running cult classic Lucha Noir comic series, SONAMBULO. Rafael is also the co-creator (with writer Mike Wellman) and artist of the sci-fiadventure series GUNS A'BLAZIN'.


Liz Mayorga is a writer and cartoonist. She creates zines and comics, andher latest book, Bread and Butter, is being published by Rosarium PublishingShe's the former Director of the San Francisco Zine Fest.


Ofloda Monstro makes mini-comics. His paintings and illustrations are frequently displayed in gallery shows and comic shops throughout Los Angeles. 

The Latino Comics Expo Los Angeles will be held the weekend of August 17 & 18 at the Museum of Latin American ArtThe event runs from 11am-5pm, both days.

MOLAA is located at 628 Alamitos Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90802. Admission to the Museum grants you entry to the Expo, panels & workshops.
