'Black' is inspired by the common practice in Japan of creating fan manga, known as doujinshi; i.e. taking existing properties and creating unique stories. This one mashes up the Star Wars, Aliens, and 2000AD character 'Strontium Dog'.

Nima Afshar is a trained graphic designer who studied at the National Art School. Nima also writes his own work; personal sci-fi and weird fiction comic stories that are reflective and/or mythic in nature. His love of sci-fi was the genesis of this mash-up that even without words conveys a thrilling action sequence rendered in black and white that's as enthralling as any mainstream comic. This fan-fic piece comes just in time for Star Wars Day, May 4th aka "May the Fourth Be You."
